Jarosław Płuciennik is a Professor of Humanities at the University of Łódź (Institute of Contemporary Culture, Faculty of Philology), specializing in literary theory, cognitive studies, and the rhetoric of the sublime. His current research focuses on empathy, 4E cognition, transmedia storytelling, and Nordic culture, including the Moomin phenomenon. He is Editor-in-Chief of the scholarly journal Zagadnienia Rodzajów Literackich / The Problems of Literary Genres.
